This story takes place in the Taisho Era in 1922, a year before Kanto's great earthquake struck Tokyo. Ain a 14 year-old girl and a mysterious man live in the basement of the famous "Ryounkaku", a twelve storey building located in Asakusa District. Ain spends all her time making strange scientific inventions. Among these inventions are some cathode ray screens. Ain's friend claims that he can see the future through them
