Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas

Saint Seiya:The Lost Canvas, tells the events ocurred during the XVIII Holy War. It is a prequel to Saint Seiya´s original series. The story revolves around Tenma and Alone, two orphan boys who live in an Italian village.Their daily lives are interrupted when Pandora meets Alone. Then, Pandora tells Alone that he is the reincarnation of Hades. Meanwhile, Tenma meets Libra's gold saint Dohko, who takes Tenma to the sanctuary of Athena in order to become one of Athena's Saints. In Athena's sanctuary, Tenma becomes Pegasus' Saint and also realizes that Sasha, Alone's younger sister, is the reincarnation of the goddess Athena. Then, three silver saints returning from a mission in Italy, report that Hades has awoken...which means, that a Holy War has broken out.
